It only has caramel flavour in a base and not actual caramel. Considering this is not actual caramel, quite costly for an artificially sweetened flavoured caramel substitute. Please read the label to confirm.At room temperature it is a bit watery. Once you refrigerate it becomes thick like caramel.

The taste isn't rich like caramel, but too sweet like sugar syrup that has been infused with chemical additives to give caramel taste. However, it goes nicely with milk etc so it's not too bad.
