Advantages
If this is your first time with plain moringa tea, let me blunt, you're not going to like it. It has no flavour, no great smell and practically nothing that screams 'good tea'. I won't even call it an acquired taste. There is no taste to acquire! It is quite bland. That said, you'd be foolish not to buy this tea. Confused? Well, read on...Moringa is not merely a buzzword in the wellness circuit, it's nature's miracle and even called the Miracle Tree, and not for nothing. The moringa craze might have started in the west but it is actually a tree intrinsic to India. Here we call it drumstick/sahajan and folk tales are replete with its ability to treat almost every health issue one can think of! If I begin to write the names of health problems science claims these leaves can cure, I will be sitting and writing this review forever!Be very clear that this is a health tonic and not some great beverage you're sipping on for taste & enjoyment. That is NOT to say it is bad. It isn't. It is very very palatable as there is no bitterness, no sourness, no adverse taste in any way. It is just that it has no taste at all! When you brew this tea you'll feel you're having hot water with some grassy smell. And that is a great boon because what we have here is a beverage that is very easy to gulp down without having to add sugar or any sweetener which is not the case when we have green tea as that's bitter.Plus this has an organic tag. That makes a HUGE difference. When you're having something for health reasons or for some disease or for detox, the quality of the ingredient assumes paramount importance. Since moringa tea for me is a health drink that I have every single day, I wanted the organic label to reassure me of its high standard. Another reason why I have it is for my eyes. Moringa is supposed to be very good for the eyes & it is said to improve vision. I guess the higher cost is only because it's organic and it is totally justified in that sense. If you want to enjoy good health, include this tea in your diet. You'll be doing your body a BIG favour!
