This powder has a really strong fragrance and since it has no other ingredients, one can probably get all the health benefits of vanilla. That said, it is best not to use this in recipes that require high-temperature cooking like in kheers or cakes, maybe because unlike in essences, the vanillin molecules are not bound to other compounds that bond. When I added the powder at the end after switching off the flame in kheers or in cake dressings, they hold the flavor well. I also enjoy it in smoothies, shakes, or in my over night soaked oats. Yum!

The first jar I ordered was just great – amazing delicate aroma. So after one-two months I ordered another jar and it was barely edible. The powder had a smell of... paint rather than vanilla. Don't know if it's different source of beans, harvest or anything else. Can't risk ordering it again, too expensive to throw. Very upset with this turn.

When I first ordered in Jan 2018, the aroma was very strong. In the recent order, there is no aroma whether you add to tea or cake. Feel very dissapointed as product is not cheap. Certainly, not ordering this product again. Urban platter needs to give explanation. Better still replace/refund all buyers with a particular batch. They know for sure which batch had problems.
