Our black rice is sourced from manipur. It is a glutinous variety of rice which is nutritionally dense. A spoonful of black rice bran contains more health promoting anthocyanin antioxidants than in a spoonful of blueberries but with less sugar more fiber and vitamin e antioxidants. It is also known as Forbidden rice - a name which originated from china as it was served only for kings & elites and was forbidden for commoners.
