Bristles are very thin, but stiff. So it gets the job done. Due to thinness you feel the bristles a little more while combing, compared to other brushes I used earlier. - which is not bad, I kindof liked the feel. However, the longevity is pretty bad. The round dots on top of the bristles start coming off only after 3-4 months of mild usage (mild = a man's hair, once a day). After the dot is gone, the underneath bristles are very sharp, so very soon it became impossible to use on scalp after it lost just 3-4 dots. After that just 1 cleaning attempt, and the 3-4 missing dots became half missing. I use it to scratch my back now..
