Have been using this one for about 4 months now, primarily for shallow frying... Good product.. comes with a stainless steel cover but I use one which i had already... Cooks well with a tad bit more oil consumption than a shallow vessel. Good buy

Good buy, if steel is a substitute you are looking for your vessels

The product is really good. Definitely a must have product in your kitchen. The wooden spatula is in broken condition when delivered. The broken spatula is little disappointment but we have neem wood made ladle/spatula bought from Indus Valley so no Problem. If seller can arrange another hawkins wooden spatula it wood be great else it's fine. I didn't return the product because amazon was very accommative towards me. First I ordered 22 inches Hawkins Pan but it was very small for even one person use. So I placed return and they accepted without any problem. So I wanted to be accommodative towards Amazon.

Heavy gauge aluminum spreads heat evenly

Advantages
The product is sturdy, heavy and the finish is very good. When you receive the pan the sticker on it can be easily removed and I recommend applying a few teaspoons of any cooking oil on the residual glue from the label and gently rub using your finger and if stubborn use a piece of cotton cloth to scrub with oil. Once the traces of glue are removed, wipe clean with a cloth. Do not wash it before removing the Hawkins sticker and all traces of glue. You can now wash it and follow instructions given to begin using your frying pan.

Certainly recommend

Advantages
Bought a steel pan rather than the many non stick types in the market. On a high flame, and with too little oil, the food tends to burn, being steel heats up quickly. One of the disadvantages of steelware. The sticker put IN the pan, on removal leaves a glue that is difficult to remove. This should have been on the outside of the pan.

It is indeed a very nice product from Hawkins. It’s sturdy, made of good metal and easy to clean. Food does not stick to the bottom with medium and low flame. I find the height of the pan is less since the vegetables spill out while stirring. I wish it was 2-3 cms more in height, then it would have been a perfect frying pan!

Nice, sturdy pan -Worth buying!

Easy to clean and sturdy. I am using is mainly. For cooking egg. You have to use slightly more oil to get away with sticking to pan. However it is better to use instead of non stick material considering this won't leach harmful chemicals in your food

Yet another excellent 'lockdown purchase'!!This pan hasn't been able to take time off, ever since it reached me. I've tried everything- bulls eye, omelette, dry dishes, gravies, fish fry etc- that too in very little oil- and everything has come out well.It does get oil stains, sometimes hard and tough ones too- and I clean them off with vinegar, or a mixture of baking soda and vinegar. What I've seen is, if the flame is low all through ( not even medium, but low), nothing sticks to the pan. But, if it does, all you need to do is turn off the flame and leave the pan to cool off. Everything that has stuck, gets 'unstuck'!????The wooden handle ( as well as the lid knob) is an added advantage. Absolutely cool!I also use this as a tadka pan and in my opinion, the Indian tempering trick will transform your triply cooking pan into a nonstick pan!A word to the wise: this is a shallow pan. 22 cm -capacity 1 litre. You can cook only a very small portion. But still and all, it's a pan well worth the money spent on it.

This pan is really good value for money. Don't forget to season your pan before you start cooking.

Bought this as a replacement for a Hawkins 22 cm non-stick frying pan which was giving way. I did not want another non-stick because of the ill effects of using non-stick cookware. The biggest advantage I saw in this, apart from the fact that it was fully stainless steel, was the glass lid which I could use from my previous non-stick pan!The heat distribution is awesome, requires very less oil for cooking and cleaning is very easy. There is an option to buy the same pan with the glass lid but at an extra cost.
