I just love cooking in these clay pots, my spouse has been enjoying food cooked with these. It's very true that food cooked in clay pots retains minerals, vitamins, taste etc. I have prepared, Rice, Pulav, Palya(sabzi),saru(sambar) and few breakfast items like Avalakki(poha), uppittu(upma). I soak rice or Bele(dal) in water for 30min and more and then cook to reduce the time taken to cook. I initially soaked pots in water over night. Applied edible oil and let it dry, then used vessels for cooking.

I purchase a lot from Silkrute but don't write reviews much. But I wanted to write review for this product as I am super happy with this. I have been using these on a daily basis for almost a month now. Quality of the product is very good. All 3 vessels have good thickness and feel heavy in hand. There is no painting and nothing gets leaked while cooking. All those who are looking for good clay pots can give a try!

I am always a great fan of claypot vessels and craftsman India has given an amazing product. I have prepared chicken curry and corriander lemon chicken gravy from the pots and it came out really well. The claypots have enhanced the flavour of the foods. Cooked both the foods in the low-medium flame and haven't faced any burnt or fumes throughout. Chicken curry : Saute a hand full of finely chopped small onions with curry leaves, ginger garlic paste, slitted green chillies and tomatoes. Grind corriander seeds, cloves,cinnamon,sanuf,cardamom,pepper seeds,and little cocount into a fine paste..Add the grinded mixture, along with chilly powder,turmeric powder and mint leaves and cook until the raw smell goes off. Then add chicken, 1 cup of water and salt and cook it for 45 mins in a low medium flame. Stir occasionally to make sure nothing sticks at the bottom. Tasty chicken curry is ready ?? Corriander lemon chicken gravy : Marinate chicken with salt, pepper powder, chilly powder, spices powder, corriander powder, lemon juice and hand full of finely chopped corriander leaves for 30 mins. In the claypot ,add little oil, and saute one large onion till it turns golden brown colour. Add curry leaves and the marinated chicken and in the low flame for half an hour to 45 mins without adding water. Let the chicken to cook from the water that oozes from the chicken itself. Finally garnish it with the corriander leaves ?? Enjoying many more mouth watering food items from the claypots.
