Mom, have tried it for chapati without the kitchen towel or cloth, but she is using the coaster that is provided in the unit. She does not feels great about it, since there is no locking mechanism for the lid, the water does gets collected underneath the coaster so it serves the purpose, but the warmth of chapati is not preserved.Have asked her to share the feedback after using the kitchen towel or cloth, will update here.

Its good and it works as it says...the roti is not becoming soggy but biggest drawback is there is no locking of lid so u have to careful while carrying
