The pigments are very natural.. the shades when you do that up and down stroke seems very natural and water colour gradient like..I bought this because i saw @letterandallthat use the same, in her hand lettering workshops.. I tried brush lettering only. Haven't used them for paintings and portraits.. but I feel they are just as good..Price is reasonable .. these are not water based so, ???

I love it. I bought it to see how this medium works.Though its a little rough, it paints well. A little doubt about blending (the way I want it to)And every pen has a different size of brush nib, as you can see in the picture. Permanent Orange (3rd from last) has the smallest nib and Prussian Blue has the largest (stating this for example)Other than these its best for beginners.Value for money.
