I am a collector of fountain pens. Indian fountain pens simply don't work. That is rude fact. Some may write buy leak. Some only leak and a few refuse to write. They price these product cheap so that buyers don't complain. The pen was delivered to me in perfect condition. I filled ink, it wrote and suddenly stopped. I had give it a few violent jerks to start it up( Means the capillary action is faulty). If you keep the pen inverted for an hour it will refuse to write. You will have to again start it with a violent jerk. I can't simple understand, why Indian companies don't invest in quality control. Of all the Lamys/Sheaffers and Watermans that I own, never did I have to complain about it. Instead of spending Rs.200 on this pen it is better to spend Rs. 900 and get a Sheaffer VFM. No complains at all. For Rs. 200 Camlin Elegante is overpriced, why? It simple doesn't work.

? First of all, it came in a really bad condition. The package was almost flattened. All thanks to the people connected with the transition and delivery. Thank God it doesn't have any dent.? Secondly, it is probably a used product. Because it came with the smell of ink in it out of the box.? Thirdly, the brand claims that it is having a fine nib, but probably according to the European standards. I am a Pilot lover, so I know what fine nib is. This is medium sized nib at its best according to the standards of Pilot. Using a pen with fine nib is like having a perfect orgasm. You remember the experience for a long time. The handwriting also becomes better. That's lacking in this pen.* Thankfully it doesn't squirt ink every now and then like most of the other cheap fountain pens. I had two Wingsungs. Those were unbearably squirty.? Fourthly, the grip is average.? Fifthly, if you are a beginner, you may go for it, as it will obviously let you get used to with the fountain pens. You may use it as a day to day pen.BUT DON'T STICK WITH THIS ONE ONLY. EXPLORE THE WORLD OF PILOT IF YOU HAVE THE BUDGET. TRUST ME, YOU WON'T LOOK BACK TO A PEN LIKE THIS. I WAS GIFTED A PILOT CROCODILE FINE NIB BY MY MOM. I WANT TO KEEP MY MEMORIES WITH THIS PEN SAFE. SO I DON'T USUALLY USE THAT. THAT'S WHY I'VE BOUGHT THIS ONE.? Lastly and most importantly, a suggestion to the buyers, to make your pen experience ergonomic, please don't post the cap. Open the cap, keep it aside and unleash your writing...

First impressions is the last is what we are always thought but i think camlin had a different books in hand. The worst packaging for such a great product the movement i opened up the box i saw a cheap and poorly packaged pen i straight away opted for a return and refund without testing it i just knew its waste of money and then this happenedI was waiting for Silkrute to pick it up but by some technical issues they were late by 3 days the pen which arrived in such a bad condition was lying on my table in a corner on the last day day of my pickup for the return i decided to give it a try just for the sake. But the movement i wrote the first word my name on the piece of paper i feel in love with it i was so amazed with the whole experience i decided to keep it but eventually coming down to the point camlin need to work on the packaging and then i remember one more thing dont judge a book with its covers

A fountain pen is no longer just a pen, it's a style statement. This is a great pen for everyday writing, although not so stylish and sleek. Writing is fine but not crisp. Choose a good ink and the pen just flows. It's not about the pen but the ink you use which makes a huge difference to the quality of writing. Don't use camlin ink use Chelpark or ParkerGrip is good. Pen is not very weigthy but overall a satisfactory pen at this range. If you are someone who wants to use a fountain pen and can risk losing it, go for this one and not an expensive one. This one is for everyday writing and gets the job done well.
